As with much home repair, installing vinyl shutters is pretty much a do it yourself project. Instructions are usually included along with the clips for mounting.

I put some vinyl shutters on my home last year. They looked pretty flimsy when I took them out of the box, but when I put them up they looked pretty good. My neighbors thought they were wood - I am glad they don’t look that much like plastic shutters even though they are.
